It's joy on two wheels
About Us
"Bike Pensacola" is a coalition of bicyclists, bike clubs, bike shops, and other organizations working to improve conditions for bicycling in Pensacola.
Join Bike Pensacola for the most popular bike ride in town—the Slow Ride!
Each month we explore the quiet, scenic streets of Pensacola's many historic neighborhoods for a fun and leisurely ride among friends.
Because most cyclists are “self taught,” each month we offer information about
bicycle laws and safety tips that will help keep rides safe and enjoyable.
The ride will be about one hour and ten minutes long, at a casual pace, but may include some hills. Nobody will be “dropped” or left behind. Children 16 and under are to be accompanied by an adult 18 or older and are the responsibility of that adult . Cyclists under 16 must wear a helmet by law, including those in bike trailers; ages 16 and up helmets are recommended but are not required by law. And we will enjoy a ride escort by officers of the Pensacola Police Department.
A few more things:
-
Pets are not allowed per our insurance policy
-
No training wheels
-
Bicycles only please, and only self-propelled or electric-assist
-
No Segways, skateboards, or gasoline-powered motorized bicycles
-
Open containers of alcohol are not allowed
-
Please make certain that both you and your bicycle are healthy and well-maintained so that you can safely ride about six miles.

March Slow Ride

For our first Ride of 2023 our host and sponsor is the North Hill Preservation Association, which works diligently to preserve the historic character of North Hill--one of Pensacola's most amazing neighborhoods. They'll be providing live music, snacks and treats, and self guided walking tours of this most lovely neighborhood. With the cool February weather we encourage "cycle chic" apparel--dress up a bit--tweed jackets, sweaters, skirts...Have some fun with those dressier cool weather clothes we so rarely get to wear here
The ride will be about one hour and ten minutes long, at a casual pace. Nobody will be “dropped” or left behind.
Visit our Facebook page for more detail on the event.
