How long is the ride?

Each Ride is about around 5-6 miles, which typically takes about an hour to complete. Rides are typically on mostly flat terrain, although you should anticipate some hills. Don't worry though, no one will get left behind! However, if you are unable to complete the Ride, our ride squad will assist you in finding the shortest route back.

How much does it cost to ride?

Slow Rides are free to participants thanks to the generosity of our sponsors! We do appreciate donations however, which help to offset Ride expenses and allow Bike Pensacola to expand our event offerings and initiatives.

what are the safety requirements?

Children under 16 must wear a helmet by law. Helmets are recommended for ages 16 and up, but are not required by law. This includes children in bike trailers or on bike seats.

What is the minimum age to participate?

Recommended age is 10 years and older. Training wheels are not allowed.

Are dogs allowed?

Unfortunately no dogs or other pets are allowed on the Rides since they may cause risk to other riders and are not covered by our insurance policy.

May I ride something other than a bike?

Bicycles only please. Self-propelled, electric-pedal assist or trikes are fine, and Elliptigos are also ok. No Segways, skateboards, roller blades, scooters, or gasoline-powered motorized bicycles.

Is alcohol Permitted?

Alcohol consumptions is not permitted during the Ride. Note that the Pensacola Police Department is proud to be our escort. Please be courteous and give them the right of way.
